My name is Janelle Gokule and I am a self taught photographer. I was born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, later migrating to Canada where I now reside.

My background in Culinary Management for 11+ years has processed me and helped with my transition in changing career paths to pursue my joy for photography. Working as a Garde Manger chef in the golf clubs, creating beautiful platters for weddings and other special occasions has given me the opportunity to work closely with some of my ideal clients to date. Creating art by using my hands and my eye for detail comes naturally and with experience.

My photography goes beyond just capturing an image but being able to understand my client's needs and help them tell their story through my lens.

In everything that we do there is a message behind it and this is why I enjoy photography. I love that I get to function in purpose where my creativity has an avenue to flourish in a way that is natural for me.

Aside from photography, you're sure to find me drawing, creating unique pieces for my bespoke shop or helping my husband with his woodwork, bonding with our daughter who is the biggest fan of my signing, enjoying the outdoors because it gives me so much inspiration for creating fresh content and experimenting with recipes in the kitchen with my husband.

For me, it's about creating an experience for my audience so that they can leave out of my prescene with a sense of change and understanding. A powerful tool we all possess!
